How do you keep projects on budget?+
Every project starts with an itemised bill of quantities agreed and signed before construction. Changes only happen through documented variation orders that you approve in writing — so the final figure is a decision you made, never a surprise you received.
Can you manage my build if I live abroad?+
Yes — diaspora builds are a core part of our work. You receive weekly photo and video reports, milestone-based payment requests backed by verifiable progress, and a dedicated point of contact on WhatsApp in your timezone's working hours.
Do you handle land documentation and approvals?+
We verify title status before advising any client to build, and we manage building permits and statutory approvals as part of the design & build scope. If the land has a documentation problem, you'll hear it from us first — before you spend.
What happens if defects appear after handover?+
Every handover includes a defects-liability period during which we return and make good any defect arising from workmanship or materials, at no cost to you. It's in the contract, not just the conversation.
What is the minimum project size you take on?+
We assess fit by scope and standard rather than a rigid minimum. If we're not the right team for your project, we'll say so and, where we can, point you to someone who is.

Our story

Colored Nest was founded in 2012 in response to the shortage of quality homes in Lagos — a company dedicated to building houses with functional spaces that genuinely enhance how Nigerians live.
The name is deliberate. Birds build nests with a creativity and precision drawn entirely from nature — every material chosen, every element placed for the life it must hold. We bring that same creativity and intent to designing and developing spaces for people: homes where every room earns its place and every space works for the family living in it.
From our first build in Sango to residences across Lagos today, one standard has not moved: functionality first, delivered on the date we gave you.
